New Disney Fantasy Ship
Mickey and his crew finally finished the Disney Fantasy after almost three years of construction. If you look closely, you can see Goofy operating the crane:
The finished product set sail three days ago on January 20th and is scheduled to have it’s maiden voyage on March 31st of this year.

Tonnage: 128,000 pounds
Length: 1,120 Feet (340 Meters)
Beam: 121 Feet (37 Meters)
Capacity: 4,000 Passengers
Crew: 1,458 Members
Speed: 27 mph (23.5 knots)

– When the ship was being constructed, Minnie Mouse officially placed a coin beneath the ship’s hull with the number S688, and the date of the keel laying… if you find it, you can redeem it for a lifetime’s worth of free cruises. *
– The Disney character featured on the hull of the Fantasy is none other than Dumbo, The Flying Elephant.
– The Fantasy was constructed in Meyer Werft shipyards in Papenburg, Germany (as seen on the Ship Mate screen)
– On December 9, 2011, vandals opened water lines on the cruise ship causing damage to 48 cabins at a cost of approximately one million euros (rumor has it it was Mortimer Mouse).
