A Different Kind of “Celebrity Cruise Line”
Travolta will soon “face off” with the alleged victim’s legal team, who says the actor sexually assaulted the cruise ship steward on Royal Caribbean’s Enchantment of the seas ship in 2009. It’s reported that Travolta requested some food to his room and when the steward showed up, he asked the employee, Fabian Zanzi, for a neck massage. Allegedly, Travolta then
According to Zanzi, the actor remarked that he was “beautiful” and then told: “Take me, I will take care of you, please.” At that point, it’s alleged that Travolta dropped his robe, exposing his “wild hog” and forcibly embraced Zanzi. After Zanzi refused, it’s reported that Travolta offered the steward $12k to keep quiet.
Zanzi says that he denied the hush-money and immediately reported the incident to his superiors – he claims that management at Royal Caribbean refused to detail the sexual nature of the accusation. The absence of this information in the original documentation will likely be the backbone of Travolta’s defense, who claim the story is a bunch of “pulp fiction.” Zanzi’s credibility will also be scrutinized in this case – years ago, he made a questionable allegation that Royal Caribbean had restrained him in a room on the cruise ship for five days, yet after that supposed incident, Mr. Zanzi continued to work for Royal Caribbean for years. Also noted is the fact that Zanzi waited for so long to bring forth these claims, and only after being paid to tell his story.
This is not the first incident that the Hollywood star has had involving male masseurs. Travolta faces a handful of other allegations for incidents of a similar nature.
