Man “Falls” Off NCL Cruise Ship

Man Falls Overboard Cruise Ship – Norwegian Spirit

Man Falls off NCL Spirit

Last month a man went overboard the 2,000 passenger Norwegian Spirit shortly after the ship left the Port of New Orleans headed for the Caribbean. NCL immediately deployed a rescue boat and safely returned the man to the ship. The cruise line issued a statement stating that they weren’t aware of how the man went overboard. However, Ship Mate users on the Spirit offered a number of first-hand insights and here at Ship Mate Headquarters, we’re 64% sure it was one of the following reasons:

  • He forgot to pay his parking meter
  • NCL wouldn’t stop playing the new Justin Bieber song
  • He was trying to look down the shirt of that woman painted on the side of the ship
  • Banana peel
  • He was reaching for one last Hurricane drink on Bourbon Street

We welcome further speculation.

  1. With the placement of the rails on the spirit it is virtually impossible to just fall by accident overboard unless you are over 8′ tall and the rail is below your waist! So he must have wanted to go over!
